My roommate and I are disabled and trans, he is recovering from a major health crisis and I had a heart scare that landed me in the ER last night. We have been waiting on a job to get me through the onboarding process and things have just kind of gotten worse.

hey hey!! its been a while since I've had to make one of these (for which I'm very grateful) but here goes! I'm Val, a black trans DJ, visual artist and writer living in London, and I'm asking for some help

basically, I've been houseless/in precarious living for the past few months and am finally in a stable living situation, with people I love and trust :D — unfortunately work has been anything but steady the past few months and my work computer's been out of commission for the past two months awaiting repairs which I can't afford. I have my first proper rent payment coming up end of the month which is also a big stress bc of convoluted benefits bureaucracy & stuff, but anyways, I'm really in need of funds at the minute to get to a place of stability where I am safe and able to do/make the things that make me happy. thank you sm for reading this far, lots of love <33333³

hey so. i wasnt able to schedule medical transport in time for my ent appt tomorrow. luckily, it's fairly nearby so the uber will be less than $14 round trip unless there's a surge. that being said, i still owe uber $6.67 from last time i used it so ill need about $21 to make it tomorrow!

I love this post. It’s poetry, it’s beautiful and it’s true to me. But I also think a lot about how (I think it was) @jacuzziwaters who pointed out that the last part of it doesn’t apply to plenty of us. Like, obviously, all of these things are connected and it’s glorious, but your foundation for these things doesn’t have to be love, love doesn’t even have to be part of the picture.

I know the idea of loveless connections, relationships, ect is just completely unfathomable to some people but they’re here. They exist and they’re beautiful and important too.

Obviously, solidarity/community/ect can be shitty as well, falling into abusive structures and patterns and/or existing solely for bigoted reasons but if we’re gonna acknowledge their beauty, I think it’s definitely worth pointing out love isn’t what makes these remarkable. Or rather, it doesn’t have to be love; there is beauty in these connections alone, in community dedicated toward taking care of its own. Loveless relationships/connections prove that all the time and deserve the acknowledge for it, honestly.

just a reminder that the reason people ask for color text not to be used (or at least for a plaintext version of it) is because its an accessibility issue. it isnt just "i dont personally like it", its visual impairment issue, a screen reader issue, a migraine issue, an eyestrain issue, etc. we are asking for plaintext for accessibility, not just because of aesthetic preferences
